The hotel is ideally situated for exploring some of the Lake District's most spectacular scenery. The rooms, although a bit small, are nice and clean with everything provided. The service was top-notch overall, with some minor exceptions. The location is perfect for mountain walks and offers lots of heritage. The dining experience was excellent with high-quality ingredients. The facilities are convenient and well-maintained.
